What people actually ask.
Honest answers to everything hosts, planners, and couples ask before booking.
What is a mirror photo booth?
The Magic Mirror is a full-length interactive screen that looks like a tall mirror and acts like a photo studio. Guests tap the screen to start, the Mirror walks them through a cinematic capture, layers on AI-generated digital props, and sends instant prints + a digital copy. No physical prop bin, no clutter.
Do we need to provide props?
No — physical prop tables are a thing of the past. The Magic Mirror renders AI-generated digital props on-screen during the interaction: hats, sunglasses, themed frames. We curate the prop set with you before the event so everything is on-brand and age-appropriate. More variety than a prop bin, zero clutter, and nothing to wrangle.
How do the AI digital props work?
Before your event we build a curated prop library — think of it like picking emoji or filters, but themed to your wedding, brand, or celebration. On the night, guests see the prop menu on the Mirror, tap to try them, and the props render live on their reflection. Swap the set between sessions — more variety than a prop bin, always on-theme.
How many people fit in front of the Mirror?
The Magic Mirror comfortably captures groups of up to 8. We recommend 2–5 per shot for the best framing and fastest throughput during a busy reception.
How much space does it need?
The Magic Mirror has an ultra-slim footprint — 62" × 27" × 5" — so it fits in venues a traditional prop booth would not. Plan on roughly 8' × 8' of open floor with a standard 110V outlet nearby, and clear sightlines for the LED framing.
How far in advance should we book?
For weddings, corporate activations, and large quinceañeras, we recommend locking a date 3–12 months out. For school dances, birthdays, and church events we often have a 2–6 week window available. Ask — we'll tell you honestly if the date is still open.
Is a deposit required?
Yes — a 50% deposit holds the date. The balance is due on or before the event. We accept cash, credit card, PayPal, Venmo, and Zelle.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations 14+ days out are refunded minus processing fees. Within 14 days, the deposit converts to credit toward a future booking within 12 months.
What area do you serve?
The Michiana region — Elkhart, South Bend, Mishawaka, Granger, Goshen, Warsaw, Syracuse, plus northwest Indiana towns (Valparaiso, LaPorte, Michigan City) and southern Michigan border towns (Niles, Buchanan, St. Joseph). 60-mile core radius; travel beyond that is available for a mileage fee.
What does it cost?
Two straightforward tiers: Machine Only at $699 for 4 hours (you run the night) and Full Service at $899 for 6 hours (we send a dedicated attendant). Both include the Magic Mirror, AI digital props, digital delivery, and the online gallery. Full Service also includes on-site prints.
Can we add extra hours?
Yes — additional hours are $150/hour on either package. We can extend up to 8 hours total for most bookings.
Are there hidden fees?
No. The quote you get is the total: Mirror, AI props, setup, breakdown, digital delivery, and gallery (Full Service also includes on-site prints). Mileage only kicks in if the venue is outside our standard 60-mile radius, and we always tell you before you book.
How do guests get their photos?
Three ways, instantly: a printed strip from the Mirror, a text or email to their phone, and a QR code that drops them into the event gallery. After the event, you and your guests get access to the full online gallery within 48 hours.
What do you need from the venue?
One standard 110V outlet within 25 feet, about 8' × 8' of level floor, and clear sightlines for the LED framing. No stairs as the only path, please — the Mirror is on locking casters but lives best on flat ground.
Are you insured?
Yes — we carry comprehensive liability insurance and can provide a certificate of insurance for venues or corporate clients on request.
